Our Activities

We institute environmental public interest litigation against pollutants of any kind including governmental and private institutions, individuals, and others who affect the environment and fundamental rights and freedoms

We conduct various capacity building trainings, awareness creation and consultation workshops on various topics of the environment, natural resources and fundamental rights and freedoms

We develop, manage and execute projects and conduct researches on the themes of environmental protection, natural resources conservation, biodiversity, climate change and legal monitoring in the environmental and fundamental rights and freedoms

We engage in environmental conservation and development activities including tree plantations and watering newly planted trees.

We advocating for the promotion of environmental protection, the safety of biodiversity, sustainability of natural resources, and we monitor and follow up enforcement of environmental legislations.

Advocacy

Defend the Environment is highly engaged in Advocating for the promotion of environmental protection, the safety of biodiversity, and sustainability of natural resources. As part of our environmental advocacy activities, we conduct environmental legal monitoring, follow up enforcement, and advocate for environmental protection in line with the relevant national, regional and international Environmental instruments.
Environmental Public Interest Litigation is also the other major element of our Advocacy service in the promotion of environmental protection, natural resources conservation, and prevention of pollution.

Advocacy

Defend the Environment is highly engaged in Advocating for the promotion of environmental protection, the safety of biodiversity, and sustainability of natural resources. As part of our environmental advocacy activities, we conduct environmental legal monitoring, follow up enforcement, and advocate for environmental protection in line with the relevant national, regional and international Environmental instruments.
Environmental Public Interest Litigation is also the other major element of our Advocacy service in the promotion of environmental protection, natural resources conservation, and prevention of pollution.

Workshop

Defend the Environment conducts various workshops for environmental protection causes. We conducted capacity building and awareness creation workshops and trainings on various relevant topics and delivered for free for the employees/professionals of regulatory bodies, actors of the justice sector, members of the community, volunteers and university students.
